The Honourable Rob Schwarten, Minister for Public Works, Housing and ICT in Queensland provided an entertaining and supportive opening address celebrating the achievements of the CRC for Construction Innovation at Construction Innovations annual Christmas party held in Brisbane on 5 December.
 
Professor David Gardiner, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of QUT and Brisbane City Councillor Graham Quirk also spoke at the gathering.
 
Key stakeholders of Construction Innovation had met earlier to discuss development of a digital modelling research stream in 2007, which has received strong industry support.
 
Following the stakeholder meeting, Construction Innovation celebrated with its annual Christmas cocktail party, which was attended by over 80 friends, colleagues and collaborators.
