Improving ICT integration
This research report provides a set of research and industry recommended guidelines, based on extensive literature reviews and two years worth of investigative activities examining both public and private industry uptake of innovative Information Communication and Technology (ICT) solutions, whilst highlighting the overall need for culture change. Research findings relate to:
- eTender Guidelines ― providing an extensive general industry-wide literature review on construction industry and Government current state-of-play pertaining to eTendering
- hand-held technology guidelines ― with the intent to assist the industry to use the many benefits on offer using hand-held technologies and providing information to guide industry stakeholders in the selection of suitable hand-held devices for use on construction industry projects
- culture change guidelines ― researchers identified 24 general industry culture change guidelines including harmonising attitudes, values and behaviours, understanding the role of culture, identifying the need for change, motivating people and so forth.
