Members of the Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council (ASBEC) ASBEC aims to develop a uniform built environment industry response to the manifold environmental and ecological issues that it now faces. Working in collaboration with the three levels of government and professional and other peak organisations, it will produce a prioritised action agenda for the future. ASBEC's objective is: "For Australia to be a leader in reducing ecological impacts, improving economic returns and extending community amenity of the built environment" Construction Innovation is a founding member of the Council and is proud to have played a key role in its formation. The CRC has an ongoing lead role through our Sustainable Built Assets Program Director, Dr Peter Newton, leading the Education and Industry Diffusion responsibilities and ASBEC. One of Construction Innovation's lead national projects 'Your Building' is a joint project supported by the Australian Greenhouse Office and ASBEC. |

Australian Procurement and Construction Council (APCC) The Australian Procurement and Construction Council (APCC) is the peak council of government departments responsible for procurement and construction policy for the Australian, State and Territory Governments, and the New Zealand Government. Given the strength of the public sector's influence in the design, construction and operation of Australian facilities, Construction Innovation is committed to working constructively with this peak national association. Leadership demonstrated by public organisations nationally impacts significantly on the development and uptake of innovative practices in the property, design, construction and facility management sectors.
Government Asset Management Arena (GAMA) Supported by a statesteering committeecomprised of large asset owning departments, the Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Construction Innovationand Facilities Management Australia (FMA), Government Asset Management Arena (GAMA harnesses) the collective expertise of the industry to impart the latest knowledge, ideas and research to facilities and asset management staff. GAMA offers a suite of events and programs for facility managers and staff across the sector including forums, trade shows, professional development, regional forums and conferences. From strategic subject matter to emerging research and issues in sustainability, GAMAs innovative and challenging forum program plays a vital role in facilities management across the sector. International Alliance for Interoperability (IAI) is an alliance of organisations dedicated to bring about a coordinated change for the improvement of productivity and efficiency in the construction and facilities management industry (Building Smart). Its members engage in national-industrial programmes that aim to change the organisation, process and technology of the industry. Construction Innovationis working with the IAIto develop innovative tools based on IFC object technology, for the construction and facility management industry. The IFMA Foundation is a non-profit corporation whose primary functions relate to research and educational opportunities for the advancement of facility management.
