The results obtained from this project are significant in the development of a proof of concept for generating draft construction schedules from 3D CAD models. The initial results of the Automatic Scheduler can provide a framework for a practical approach to the partial automation of drafting construction schedules for full-scale projects. This tool is applicable to projects that are built on a repeated basis such as multi-storey buildings and highway bridges.
